I applied online. A month or so ago,they asked me to fill in their questionnaire online which I did. Then few days later, they asked me to do the same thing again(guess they didn't receive it?). During the whole process, they did not contact me in person or even gave me a phone interview to let me know any additional information about this role. A week ago, I received their code test. During last week, I was trying to prepare myself for this position based on the job description, I copied and pasted it from their job posting: • Working towards a degree in Statistics or similar( which I do) • Passionate about use knowledge in data science, machine learning to deliver insights ( the first two points for me -- i consider this job would be more like prediction related and provide insights using classification and clustering) • Highly proficient in SQL, Python/R, Linux( SQL to grab the data, R or Python to do analysis, Linux part, no idea) • Able to thrive in a fast-pace work environment: provide insights from data that constantly helps to improve our product • Interested in gaming! • Willing to work full-time and onsite(these three points are more for the candidate him/herself, this company do work fast, be prepared) Then I opened the code test from HackerRank, I was overwhelmed.. I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO DO THEM IN PYTHON AT ALL. The two question are CS algorithm, for me the test is more for a software engineer /full stack intern...anyways. I failed the test perfectly and I wouldn't say it is a good experience.
