      Entretien

      The HR staff contacted me to set up a screening call the day after I submitted my application. Briefly walked through resume and then discussed benefits, hybrid work schedule, (4 days in the office At Racine, WI 1 day remote), vacation days, benefits After the screening call, the HR staff set up an interview with the hiring manager, that was suppose to take place within the same week. I was given the hiring manager's name but never a phone number or email, as she was suppose to call me. The hiring manager never called me, (felt like an April Fool's joke). I had the HR staff's contact info, so I wrote here asking what was going on. The HR Staff called me about 10 min after the interview was suppose to end & we rescheduled. Some lame excuse was given as to what happened. She wrote me the next day and we rescheduled the interview again, the Hiring Manager (HM) was busy. HM finally called, but was 5 min late. While waiting I had doubts she'd show up (I was surprised). Did not acknowledge being late. Barely acknowledged wasting my time not showing to previous call, The best I got was "sorry we had to reschedule...", (inadequate). Efforts to establish rapport with polite engagements were ineffective. HM was difficult to read. HM had flat affect & gave minimal to no feedback after questions. After answering in earnest detail MH just moved to the next one. HM was mission oriented in asking questions, which she did in 15 min, Gave me last 10 min to ask my questions. Never seemed interested. Made a point to say "If you get selected" in answering all questions. HM seemed used to people adjusting around her, not vise versa. Interaction was limited, but HM demonstrated little interpersonal skill. Waste of energy. Wish I used the time to apply somewhere else. It would have been awful working under this manager at this company. When trying to get into a company the interviewee has to be perfect. The interviewer; however; don't have to be perfect. Personal, (not automated), rejection letter from HR staff 2 days later. This was good because only 2 weeks after applying I know to move on.
