the most WTF hiring experience I had in a while
Somewhen around March-April 2024 I saw their job ad for a QA tester and cold-applied for it (i have 3+ yrs of experience with 2yrs directly in gamedev industry). Nothing was happening for 3-4 weeks, i checked their career site once again and the job was no longer there so i said to myself: "ok, they probably hired someone already".
However, at the beginning of May, on some random Friday afternoon I got one missed call. I call back and it is HR lady from SCS software. She says: "yeah, we would like to invite you for a offline interview. however, now we are moving our offices to another building so i would call you back in 2 weeks and we would set it up after we are moved". I agreed.
Nothing was happening for almost 4 weeks... I saw on LinkedIn they are moved to new offices so one day I just got annoyed with this waiting and sent her a SMS saying: "hey, we had a call on that day and wanted to set up an interview. is it still relevant, please?". The reply: "yeah, sorry, was super busy, would call you back the next day!"
when do you think she called me back?
right, she NEVER did. it happened 3 months ago so i dont think she would ever call back.
the only thing that happened after, is that HR lady accepted my LinkedIn "friend" invite i sent her back in April... with automatic message "will be happy to stay in touch with you".
I am only writing this because last week I have bumped into their job ad poster on LinkedIn. And guess what? They are looking for a tester!...
the most WTF and RIDICULOUS experience, not to mention how UNPROFESSIONAL the company shows to candidates
