Interview process was very smooth - HR & hiring managers were very professional and respectable focusing on questions around my work experience throughout the 1st screening call, 1st and 2nd interviews. However, when it reached the 3rd round, I had a very bad experience with the male interviewer. He asked personal questions and made snideful remarks about what I am doing during my current employment gap despite my last role being retrenched. He wasn't even part of my hiring manager team but was a key stakeholder I will need to work with very closely moving forward. He also made me feel that he valued having network in this industry more than what I could bring to the table from my work experience therefore after this round I felt turned off by the role if I needed to work closely with such a person.
At the end of the interview, he made a snideful remark saying that he will share the feedback from the interview to hiring manager and hope that I will be able to find a role that I would be happy with and from then on, I knew that it was highly unlikely I will be selected to proceed to the next round. It then took them 1 entire week to get back after even though the previous rounds proceeded to next step within hours/1 day from the interview conducted.
Overall the entire interview process was ruined by the last session even though I initially felt very keen in the product and how the team is run.
