J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 2 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez Sanzaru Games (Foster City, CA) en avr. 2016

      Entretien

I applied online, and got a mail back in few days with a test, the test was pretty basic, but targeting multiple areas of game development, such as algorithms, AI, debugging, graphics, Unreal & Unity, 3D Math, c++ and optimization. Everything was pretty basic, though there were some mistakes in the test but they were easy to find out, and understand. I submitted the text in few days, as I was not able to answer 1 question properly because of no experience with console development, I didnt expect a call back, but after few weeks I got a mail saying they want to schedule a technical phone interview. That also went pretty well, its mostly about C++, this interview is paced pretty well. Starting with easy questions to mid level questions and then high level question related to caching, multi threading. There were question about game development, few question about system updates, game loop etc. The interviewer was very friendly and told me about the projects and studio environment. I answered everything pretty well but due to nervousness, I did mess up like 2 questions, which he corrected me on. Then after 1 months I got a mail for onsite interview, and they flew me to Foster City. The interview lasted for about 3 hours, with 5 rounds, each round with 2 people. Every interview involved technical question and behavioral questions. I was asked to sign the NDA so I cant talk about the questions directly. But they were ranged from c++ to engine architecture to logical questions. Overall great interview and everyone I met was super nice. I got a mail next morning saying they are gonna extend me an offer soon. Only bad part is that they dont pay for relocation, so its gonna cost you are fortune to move to Foster City.

Was initially emailed a long untimed technical exam. Had issues with parts of the exam because it was fairly poorly written. In a few problems, I had to reverse-engineer their example to figure out what the question was asking of me. Highly suggest to detail out the process of your solution. Had a roughly 1-hour phone interview that was partially technical, partially getting to know the people involved. Not too dificult, and was called in for an on-site interview a few days afterwards. On-site, I had to sign an NDA concerning the interview questions and anything I saw in the studio. Pretty normal. The interview itself was scheduled for 2 hours and ended up at about 2.5. It was a panel interview with four groups of two people each. Most of the people conducting the interview were engineers. The interview was paced well, with technical questions separated a bit by more casual conversation. The questions weren't terribly hard overall, though I made a few stupid mistakes due to nerves. There was one notable exception to this, though, which is the included interview question. The day after the interview, I received an email saying they didn't have an appropriate position for my "level of expertise", which is pretty vague. Still, the promptness was nice.

      Question 1

Of course I can't talk about the question outright, but it was described as a "brain teaser" by the the engineering interviewer who asked it. It involved the description of a simple real-world game with quarters, and I was asked to provide an optimal solution to maximize my chances of winning.
