Ridiculous. The pay range for this position is laughably low. (90k-100k) They have had multiple layoffs and reorgs in the last year. During the interview process, I was told they don't value DEI (as an edtech company in Louisiana). Third round interview was supposed to be with three people. One was a no show and another was late. They seemed unprepared. I was told at the beginning that there would be three rounds. After three rounds, I was told that they were at the beginning of the interview process and would let me know when they had an update. This is a month in. Then two weeks later, I was called back for another surprise interview with the CTO without any context as to the purpose or format. The entire call was 1) who was your manager at (x) company 2) what would they say is your greatest weakness 3) on a scale of 1-10, how would they rate you- for every role on my resume. I was also asked what I feel my greatest weakness is and what I never want to do again as a product manager. It was entirely negatively focused. Nothing about my value, experience, and what I could bring to their work and organization. It felt like it was entirely meant to belittle and intimidate. Absolutely no concern for the psychological safety of their candidates. The following week, I politely let them know that I was considering another offer and asked for an update on my application. After all of that, an hour later I received a generic "after careful consideration" rejection email. Process took two months. Absolutely insulting and a waste of time.
