I sent my resume to one of the VPs, he then referred me to their recruitment lead.
She didn't bother to call, she sent me a message on LinkedIn to arrange a call, the first time we agreed to do the call she didn't show up, after the meeting she sent a message that she was stuck in another meeting!
We arrange a time to do the call in the next day, once we started talking and BEFORE even asking me anything, she said "Look, I don't believe that you have the skills needed for this job, I am interviewing you only because one of our VPs referred your resume"
Then I answered all her questions professionally, & based on my answers, she mentioned that I DO have the skills needed & I worked on the same product development/lifecycle journey needed, yet there is a difference between my product definition & the company’s product definition (isn’t that normal? coming from a different company, or even a different industry). She rejected my application on spot!
What I saw, a recruitment lead who didn’t believe in my skills even before I spoke a word, interviewing me because she couldn't say no to her boss, giving me rude vibes, finding that I have the skills, yet looking for differences rather than similarities to find a reason to reject my application. It was the rudest interview I have even been into!!
