Simple questions regarding basic customer facing experience such as handling customers who are disrespectful, handling theft, de-escalating situations and what if scenarios. Asked about any passions relating to beauty as well, but should not just mention makeup as the single interest. Sephora prides itself on not only beauty on the outside but beauty on the inside.

When was a time you had a customer that was upset?
Interview process was very straightforward with follow up calls and scheduling happening very consistently and within a couple of weeks. The questions felt client - oriented and applicable to the role.

I was given a single interview with very basic questions. I have seen the store give group interviews so be prepared for that. So long as you sound confident, show passion, and practice giving answers to basic questions and prepare to give examples in situations related to customer service, you're doing better than most.

It was a group interview and it had like 8 people. We went around in circles. The person interviewing was sweet. It did not have anything to do with makeup but a lot to do with customer service
