First interview was a telephonic one and went OK and was handled by the HR Rep . I was called back a few days later by HR to arrange a second face to face interview. However, I was abroad and I asked if I could have a telephonic interview instead, HR then said they would wait for me to get back to Krakow. I thought it was strange when HR did send the confirmation letter for the interview , it had a time but no date. Eventually when the second interview did occur, it was held by the same HR guy that called me initially and the hiring manager from procurement. During the interview, ( and i have worked in an HR department), the body language displayed by the hiring manager was odd, constant glances to the HR rep and flashing smiles to him. Something was up , but what? My suspicions were even more high tend when I asked about the starting date directly to the procurement manger of which she glanced nervously to the HR rep for support after which he gave a wishy washy " after the long weekend". Surly the hiring manager will know when new staff members are required to start by? At least thats was how it was when I was hiring people together with HR we would set a start date. Thus I did not carry much hope for a successful outcome and needless to say got a regret saying my experiences and soft skills did match Shells needs. (strange as i have worked in procurment for many years) Surly that should of been determined in the screening process and not wast my time further?which leads to me asking me this, was there a actual job opening? was the job filled prior to my interview? and were HR were just going through the motions to cover themselves? But fromwhat i heard and read about Shell SBSC Krakow is not flattering , so maybe its better Im not there
