J'ai passé un entretien chez Sherwin-Williams (Cleveland, OH) en janv. 2024
Entretien
It was about three months from the job posting expiration to the time I was interviewed for the position.
There seemed to be a little confusion on the part of HR regarding whom I was supposed to interview with when, but the process was smooth once the interviews were scheduled.
Both the hiring manager and the additional team member in the hiring process were easy to talk to and very helpful. The hiring manager told me to reach out if I had any questions about the hiring process, and told me she would get back to me no later than two weeks.
Two weeks went by without a word, so I followed up. Another two weeks went by (one month since I interviewed) and I heard from HR that they went with someone else for the role. HR shared some notes from the hiring manager, noting that I should "apply for roles more in line with my experience level."
This was a little frustrating as I met all of the basic requirements they had listed on the job posting and a few of the preferred requirements as well. If they didn't feel my experience level was the right fit, they should really update their postings so they aren't wasting their time as well as that of their applicants.

Question 1
What question do you wish I had asked you about yourself?
The interview process was 2+ months long and included meetings with 8 different people. It was incredibly repetitive, and after the final round of interviews concluded, it took almost 4 weeks (with several follow ups) to learn that they extended the offer to someone else.

I was referred by an employee at Sherwin for an IT Project Manager role. I had a conversation with the hiring manager and a recruiter, and was then asked to come to headquarters for an in-person interview. The interview process felt easy, however very lengthy. I felt a natural connection with the hiring manager as well as the other potential team member I was interviewed by downtown. After the duration of 4 months, I was denied with an automated email from the recruiter. I emailed the recruiter asking for advice on where I missed, and never heard back. I am a previous employee of Sherwin-Williams and had the educational/professional background that met the requirements of this position so it came as a shock and to not receive any feedback was disappointing.

I had two interviews for PM role and was assured I would hear back in a week, two at the latest. After a month and two follow up emails to the hiring manager, my internal "recruiter" whom I had not heard from before that point reached out to me to let me know I didn't get the job.
