Sent my cv into their Shopee website and their regional office reached out to me for an interview. They asked me about my experience and current job desk. The HR was opened to questions but they never get back with the result of the interview. Since they're known to "ghost" applicants, I couldn't care less.

I am writing after my experience of having a call with a Malaysia recruiter names Celine Taslim. 1) Inability to understand terms such as “brand building” and kept asking “what?” “what?” instead of perhaps saying would you mind repeating it? 2) Tone and manner in asking question when I mentioned I am currently serving my notice is RUDE and ASSUMING I am working only for a paycheck. She asked two questions at one go. Why did I choose to leave my current company and why did I leave without finding a next job first. I explained in detail the reason I left Company X to join current company and of my first role in current company where I was doing what I wanted to do but not after I shifted roles hence I decided to leave. I explained what I would love doing more which is consumer brand building and how the second role did not enable me to do that. She then replied in a rude and condescending tone (almost as if I already did something wrongful towards her) “You still did not answer my question. I asked two questions one was why you choose to leave and second why not HANG AROUND SO THAT YOU WILL HAVE INCOME”. I realized I missed out the second part of her two parts question but still is that a reason to get upset in an introductory call and put me on the receiving end of it? I replied because I wanted to look for another opportunity and I have no concern for income. This is the most unprofessional call from a recruiter that I have ever experienced and her tone is filled with assumptions, lack of respect towards potential colleagues, lack of respect towards people in general and spoke condescendingly. Is this the culture of the company at least in Malaysia? I believe this is not what a HR department in any organization strives to build. Thanks.
