- Received reply from recruiter after 1 month of application - 60 minutes interview with Senior UX/UI designer who was v friendly, resume and portfolio walkthrough - Sent an automated email to do 7 days take-home design challenge for 1 page which involved designing a whole new portal with 3 requirements for 2 users - Spent a lot of time creating 2 pages with write up and rationale of design decisions - Received automated rejection letter after 1 business day What? Not even a proper email or feedback on what they were expecting from a junior role No library or resources were provided for this challenge, so I basically built high-fidelity mockups from scratch based on their existing website lol

Horrible. Shopee saw my job application, and didn't even give a job interview chat opportunity. They just emailed the design take-home challenge through an automated email message system. You have 1 week to finish it. I spent a lot of time and effort to finish it, and still got rejected coldly with an automated rejection message. I would warn everyone who might be interested in a UI UX Design position with them to NOT do free work even if they claim that it is part of the "interview process". You'll be coldly thrown aside and you literally don't even have a single chance to talk with their staff (a human) for even just a minute. Just free work for Shopee.
