Worst interview in my life. Disorganized & unpredictable. ALL glassdoor reviews are negative but I was optimistic because what they do is interesting. First contact by email (they dont have a recruitment team!). Initially they said they wanted to interview for a software lead position. After the initial contact, they sent out a coding exercise which was straightforward but open ended. I completed this & sent it back. I was contacted again saying they were impressed with my submission. Scheduled for skype interview. Skype round with 2 people - was more behavioral & few technical questions about my background. The frustrating part was the technical questions. They shared random class from their code base & asking me what it does? Then they showed me a bunch of numbers & asked me what those numbers meant! I struggled trying to make sense of data without context. Then a couple of more Skype interviews followed without any agenda or intent. They would just schedule the interviews (w same people) ask questions about my background. Before every interview, I asked what the agenda/nature of interview would be, answer - "Prepare everything! :)". After these pointless 5-6 skype interviews, they said they want to bring me on-site but before talk about compensation. We negotiated & agreed on a number. On-site! Definitely the worst travel experience for an interview! I was picked up from the hotel. They asked me whether I had checked out from the hotel, because my interview was scheduled to end in the afternoon & I was to fly out in the evening. Asked me to check out and put my bags in his car! Red signal. When I arrived at the interview, there was no agenda for the day. I was just being walked around the offices meeting people. I was casually asked about my high school (I don't understand how that was relevant to my skills, I passed high school 12 years ago). Then they made me attend a sprint meeting. I had no idea about the project, did not know any people & was just sitting there awkwardly (they were killing time till interviewers got free). Then there was a lunch with engineers which was good. Then technical interview - utter mess. 4 people in the interview panel at once. One person would ask a question, 2nd person would interrupt ask something else (at one point they were just discussing among themselves). When talking about a project, I tried to give a brief background, 1 guy abruptly stopped & said he doesn't care & asked something else. The interviewers were very rude. Finally pulled up a bunch of numbers in a text file and asked to explain what I thought about this data. The whole point of interview was to intimidate me & justify that I would not fit for the lead position which was initially offered. Later, I was dropped back at the hotel & had to change in the hotel's public restroom! The shuttle was booked for a different date! I was told to just take an Uber & they would reimburse, 45 days & no sign of the check. Speaks a lot about their professionalism. I was sent an offer letter. The position was a lower one than they interviewed for and the compensation was not even close to what was initially discussed. The company culture, the people, the environment was toxic, disorganized & non-professional. Conclusion : Glassdoor reviews don't lie! When I read I did not want to believe glassdoor reviews blindly. After experiencing this mess of an interview, I sure am happy that things did not work out.

      Questions d'entretien [2]

      Question 1

Showed me a text file which their software parses. Asked me what I made of this data. No context nothing. It was literally just a bunch of floating point numbers and I was asked to analyze this data
      Répondre à cette question

      Question 2

I was interviewing for Software jobs and was asked questions about vector geometry and computational geometry

I am sorry you had a negative experience with your interview, however the process worked successfully. The purpose of our interview process is to determine the level of fit between the player and the team. In your case the process succeeded for both you and for SigmaTEK. There was and is no good fit. SigmaTEK is a very dynamic and innovative organization with 280 full-time employees spread out over 16 legal entities, all over the world. Our people thrive on the mastery and autonomy afforded them and on pursuing our common purpose. Please don’t take your interview experience personal. This outcome is better for you than for you to find yourself in an organization where you are not aligned with its core values. Ben TerreBlanche, CEO
