First round was with HR over videocall. It was a normal screening, and the TA outlined clear next steps. I was then invited for the interview with the hiring manager. Also online, 1 hour. We discussed the role and team in more detail and had a nice conversation. In a few days, within the timeline provided, I received an email telling me they were moving forward with a different candidate and provided me constructive feedback as to why. It is the first time I received a rejection email this personal. Even though I did not get the job, the process was positive from beginning into end.
