Applied on company website, approached by HR to schedule an 30-60min phone screen with Hiring Manager. The initial conversation was really relaxing, learned a bit about the role, the company background, and let the HM learned my experience.
Then I was schedule to chat with VP of Engineering, another very relaxing discussion about my work history and the current scope/future plan of work at Spaceflight. He mentioned a further interviews using Zoom and might include a virtual tour. I was then led to believe an HR representative to schedule a follow-up virtual conference. When it didn't happened after a work week, I followed up with them. Who then replied that they are also screening other candidates. 10 days later, I approached them with no further response.
Overall, it was really relaxing to talk with them, seems like there are a lot of business potential, interesting work-environment, responsibility, and career growth but ultimately left with disappointment due to no closure.
I will cut them some slack due to COVID19, the subsequent economic uncertainty(which is contrary to what their portrayal in their call with news of recent acquisition), and the inherent business risks of small launch services.
I'd recommending giving feedback and transparency for any candidate, especially if they are two rounds deep into the process.
