I applied online, and was contacted within a few weeks to have a basic phone interview with a general recruiter. That portion was laid back and quite easy, with pretty much the basic questions you can expect from a phone screen. Walk me through your resume, etc. I was then contacted by another recruiter/coordinator type to set up the next stage, which was a phone interview with the hiring manager. On that call, the manager seemed kind of distracted and tired, though it still generally went well. Some of the questions duplicated, like I again had to walk through my entire resume. Which is fine, just tedious. I was told that there were more interviews taking place over the next week, but by the end of the week I should hear back. Well, this time came and went, and after about five weeks of hearing nothing, I assumed I was no longer in the running. To be honest, I was feeling like it wasn't the right fit for me anyways, and I'm a little glad I didn't receive an offer and be tempted to accept out of desperation to leave my current job. However, I was still a little surprised to have been ghosted. I expected better from Spectrum. All job seekers know that job searching is cold and unfriendly, but interviewing with Spectrum definitely feels more so that way than others I've interviewed with, probably because they're so large. Very "corporate" feeling, talking to various recruiters in other states and what not. Oh well!
