After submitting a resume I was got an email one morning asking me to do an assignment in 48 hours from receiving the email. The assignment that took me probably around 24 hours across two days, and you also had to record your final submission and describe technical choices condensed into 5 minutes which was quite a bit of extra work. I was applying for a junior position, and there were bonus requirements you could do but even with throwing in 1-2 bonus requirements, I was completely ghosted after submitting it and got zero feedback for all my time spent on it. This is an awful way to treat applicants. Assignments should only be given after interviews and there weren't interviews here. This is also unfair to those that have less free time. If you happen to have another job you won't have much time to complete something within 2 days.

At first, we were given a take-home assessment. After completing it, I advanced to the first technical interview, which covered a range of topics from frontend to backend to database. This comprehensive interview involved pair programming, a frontend question, and a LeetCode question. Subsequently, I underwent a second technical interview with a product manager, facing similar questions across frontend, backend, and database domains. I then awaited the decision of the CTO for further review. Unfortunately, after a couple of days, I received a rejection and was not selected for the position by the CTO.
