J'ai postulé via un recruteur. J'ai passé un entretien chez Spreadex (Londres, Angleterre) en août 2025
Entretien
I had an interview with Spreadex conducted via Microsoft Teams. The interviewer joined online and shared a piece of code that I was asked to extend as part of the technical task.
The overall setup was fine, but when I got stuck on some basic syntax issues which we hardly do in day to day coding, I did not receive much guidance or clarification. The session felt more like a test of whether you already know everything rather than a collaborative problem-solving exercise.
Unfortunately, I was rejected without any constructive feedback, which I found disappointing. It would have been more helpful if they provided at least some feedback to understand where I went wrong or what I could improve on.
Overall impression: The process was straightforward, but support during the exercise was limited, and the lack of feedback after rejection made the experience less positive.

Applied via recruiter and sent an automated screening test around solid principles.
Completed test to a T, included unit testing and interface implementation. Still got rejected with no feedback. Even though I had disclosed what I would improve with more time.
Some of us have full time high responsibility jobs which is draining enough, we can not spend more than 2 hours on a test from our own free time.
There are pros and cons to different approaches in development practices. It seems like they looking for someone that fits their own narrative.
No further discussions were had.
