Was contacted on Linked In by SquareSpace internal recruiter. Scheduled a phone interview, never got a call back had to reschedule it because he forgot to enter it into his calendar, few day later he followed up. Had a hackerrank phone screen, merge two sorted arrays, which I solved. Got an invitation to come in for an onsite interview. Took a day off to come in a whole day 4 round interview. Passed all rounds, but turns out all they is run sql queries to do their transformations, not really big data application developer, what I was looking for. So I pretty much wasted my entire day case this position was not a match for my skillset, because of Recruiter miscommunication. Please make sure when you apply for any position at Square you double specifics of the position you're applying for. Also remind their recruiters to enter meeting into their calendar application. Also after I got good feedback from all in person interview rounds, recruiter was supposed to get back with me regarding next round, he messed up again, and his excuse was that he forgot to add it to his Calendar, seriously? What are u getting paid for dude... Face palm, at the end I just gave up with this company, and stopped following up with them.
