J'ai postulé en ligne. J'ai passé un entretien chez Stanford University (Palo Alto, CA)
Entretien
Rigorous and straightforward. Most questions were asked pertaining to your past research experience and how can our expertise contribute to new role. I did an online zoom interview with PI and fellow lab members
J'ai passé un entretien chez Stanford University (Stanford, CA)
Entretien
I met with my current advisor several times over the last year of my PhD to discuss collaborative projects. We worked together on a collaboration over the last year of my PhD, which led to the postdoc. This allowed me to demonstrate the types of contributions I could make on his research team.

Question 1
Rather than a formal interview process, I worked directly with my now advisor on a collaborative project.
I submitted an online form where I had to select education level, add a cover letter and of course my CV. This is a postdoc position so naturally I know that a PhD is necessary for it and I have one. It was also mentioned and/or implied at least 10 times on my application documents (for example, referring to my doctoral work or my postdoctoral work). After not hearing anything for over a month, I reached out to the professor to express my continued interest and I got a dry one liner saying "sorry you need a phd". I responded politely that I have one but never heard back. So much for world class research.
