J'ai postulé en ligne. J'ai passé un entretien chez State Farm (Dallas, TX) en juin 2017
Entretien
Started in June 2017 and the whole process took about 2-3 weeks.
1. Phone screen with behavioral stuff + a little bit of CStrivia
2. In-person interview in Dallas
Would not recommend, they flew me in and scheduled my interview directly after I landed and then I had to fly back home just after the interview. I was pretty much a zombie during the interview so I had trouble.
My schedule for the interview was this.
- Sleep at 10pm as I can't sleep earlier
- Wake up at 2:30am
- Leave at 3am due to high traffic on the way to the airport
- Flight at 6am (PST)
- Arrive at 12pm (central)
- Interview at 2pm
- Interview finished at 3pm
- Flight out at 5pm (central)
- Arrive home at 6pm(PST)
I'm not used to traveling, so it was a very bad experience.
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
Mostly behavioral, no writing of code or whiteboarding. The only code I saw was a printout where they wanted me to tell them if a List or ArrayList is better for hardcoding some data. I told them that I didn't know the difference coming from a C# background... Still don't know the answer after looking it up.
They wanted knowledge on IOS development which I didn't have, a few questions on SDLC, AGILE, and SQL..
"What is a reason for submitting a transaction with a database?"

Entretien
Phone interview (non-technical) which I enjoyed and passed. Be sure to have SPECIFIC EXAMPLES for leadership experience, challenges you faced in team settings, etc. Interviewer thanked me for actually giving specific examples. Phone interview included 1 programmer and 1 HR employee. Very professional and courteous and seemed to by excited in bringing me on (Assuming I performed well technically). Physical interview (technical) coming up
