      Entretien

I applied online and got an email a couple of days later asking me to send a reply email if I'm still interested. So i sent the email and got another email in a few hours asking me if a certain time is ok for a phone interview. I replied with 'yes'. The phone interview was with an HR person who asked me general questions like "name a time that you had a conflict with a co-worker" and "name a time that a group member didn't co-operate". The interview lasted about 15 minutes and I was told that I would be contacted further if they decide to go through with my candidacy. A few days later I got a call from another HR person to book the day and time for the face-to-face interview. Everything up to this point was perfect. The day of the interview, I was kept waiting 12 minutes (the interview was scheduled for 11, I was called in at 11:12) without any explanations for the delay. There were 2 people interviewing me, however only introduced herself properly as the manager. The other lady just said her name which I forgot in a few seconds and didn't mention her title. The interview got underway and it looked like both interviewers honestly didn't want to be there. I was asked general questions like "name a time that you were in a group" and "name a time that you had a conflict with a co-worker", most of the questions I was already asked in the phone interview. One person would ask me a question, then after I answered, the other lady would ask me one. In total, there were about 10 questions for a total of about 25 minutes (only because I went into detail with each answer). Their faces looked like they didn't care at all. After the interview part, I was given a test. The manager left her laptop and said she would come back in 20 minutes. Then they cleared the room. The test had 2 questions: one was a simple journal entry and the second one was an income statement which I had to analyze and point out any problems. Any accounting student who has done any financial analysis in the last 2 years should be able to do the question with ease. After the test was over, the manager came back, asked me to save my work and walked me through the door. She was sort of nice, but it looked like she was sick of interviewing people and was forced to do this. I waited a few weeks and didn't get any answers from State Farm. So, I called them about 3 weeks after my interview and I was told that they haven't decided yet. Then I waited another 2 weeks and called, and was told that I would hear soon. Then I get a call the next day and the HR person tells me that she doesn't know why I didn't get a call earlier, as I should have. She said they had filled the position and good luck, bla bla. Overall, the interview process was lengthy, and the actual face-to-face interview was terrible. The wait as well as the terrible questions and the lack of enthusiasm from the interviewers was really disappointing. Add to that the delay in letting me know. I had to call them to find out.

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

None really. Very general questions. Name a time when you were in a conflict with a co-worker.
