There were 2 steps:
1. Phone screening
The interviewer kept talking about the company without saying what skills and which person they are looking to hire.
Eventually I said that I need to know more relevant data. A bit to the point I admit, but time is important.
He didn’t like that at all.
The screener decided to continue the process because my technical skills might make up for my “people skills”
2. Technical interview + behavioral interview (in office)
I was supposed to start with a technical interview, but never had one.
The technical interviewer did not show up.
I was asked to wait for the behavioral interviewer.
The other interviewer showed up and apologized for the technical interviewer not showing up due to some reason (a different reason then what the technical interviewer provided)
He asked a bunch of questions about projects I did. There was bad chemistry.
It got to a point he thought I wouldn’t pass the technical interview based on zero evidence of actual technical skills.
There would have been 2 additional interviews
* Tech interview
* Manager interview

The entire hiring process was done remotely.
I was impressed to have the screening phone call from the CTO himself, where about half the time was dedicated to answering my questions.
This was followed by a technical team lead interview, HR interview, more in-depth CTO talk and CEO get-to-know, all video calls. The entire process was around a month, with some holiday delays.
The people I talked to were pretty down to earth, even saying things like "we aren't here to change the world, just make fame and fortune for our creators". I wish for more of that mindset in the industry.

2 face-to-face interviews, one with the team leader and lead developer, one with the CTO.
1 Google meetup with the CEO.
All were very pleasant and friendly. In the first meeting I was asked about my history and given a quick test of my css skills, a simple test that showcased actual understanding of the subject and not a strainous out of the blue random hard question that you can only answer if you practiced before-hand.
I was then given a test to do at home, which I passed and subsequentially got invited to the second interview.
The second interview was also very pleasant. I do not come from an academic background so I couldn't answer hard theoretical questions, and that was taken in well and the questions were changed to more practical structual question.
The last inverview I had was with the CEO on google hangout, it was more of a feedback talk and getting to know, very pleasant, I got all my questions answered 100% of the time. Very satisfied
