Rigorous, detailed, thorough. Stripe learns a lot about the company while sharing less details about the company. Probe hard on role and department details, as well as company culture and management style

Before applying to this company, READ the candidate reviews on Glassdoor; they were ALL right (which is a shame if you come from a CORP background and are used to interviewers who care about you).
While the organisation maintains a polished external reputation, there is a stark disconnect between the company’s stated values and the reality of the recruitment process.
The interview process is entirely rigid, transactional, and robotic. Across all rounds, interviewers rely on scripts rather than engaging in genuine dialogue. No basic human interaction, they won't say your name or even pretend to be interested in you. Cold and sterile environment that feels contrary to the human-centric culture the founders often promote.
You'll be hit with a statement regarding the structure being the same for all candidates when you are asking a question about the role and backgrounds... This deflects any opportunity for an actual conversation and makes it impossible to gain insight into one’s own performance.
There is a notable gap between what the company claims to look for and how they behave. While they state they value empathy and strategic thinking, the interviewers themselves frequently interrupt, rush candidates through responses, and prioritise strict adherence to a rubric over active listening. Feels like they are always in a rush.
It is disappointing to see that the company does not appear to practice the values they preach. If you are a professional seeking a collaborative work environment, this interview process may not be the right fit for you. I found the reality of the candidate experience to be vastly different from the company's public-facing persona.
One-Size-Fits-All answers from interviewers. "Laboratory" vibe. Robotic/Scripted Interviewers. All interviews feel like AI.
