I applied online and was contacted within a week to schedule a phone interview. The phone interview in and of itself was a positive experience. The interviewer was pleasant, informative and had an engaging style which was conducive to both parties openly sharing information to determine if it was a good fit. There were no difficult questions ... just more about tell me about your experiences, how did you handle this scenario, what is motivating you to explore other opportunities, etc. It was all very conversational.
The interviewer kept the interview going 30 minutes beyond the allotted time, asked questions relating to when I would be available to start, what my salary expectations were (which she agreed would be acceptable), indicated that there was no doubt I could do a great job in the position ... all very positive signs. She concluded by saying she would contact me the following week to set up the next step in the process (a telephone role play).
I never heard from her/them again. I sent a total of 3 follow up emails over 3 weeks, expressing my continued interest, but did not receive a reply.
I've given them a "neutral" rating because the interview itself was quite positive. However, their lack of follow up and lack of professional courtesy has left a bad taste in my mouth and has made me question their brand and professionalism. It would be so easy for them to send a quick reply to one of my emails saying, "We've decided to go in a different direction." or "Thank you for your interest but we don't think you are the best fit for the role." or "We are still evaluating candidates." ... anything! Had they done that, I probably would have overlooked that they didn't keep their commitment to set up the next step the following week and I most likely would have had interest in future opportunities. At this point, I would no longer consider representing them in any capacity.
