I filled out the application, added a cover letter, and got an email to schedule a virtual interview. The interview was very quick. It felt like the recruiter had a lot of people to get through, so they didn't need further elaboration on close-ended questions and didn't leave time for asking questions at the end. I went on to the next phase of the interview process (the recruiter scheduled it at the end). The second phase was a written assessment. I had about five hours to complete it, which was plenty of time. I was given a sample essay and a general topic to write about. Once the time was up, I lost access to the document. I kind of wish I downloaded it because I couldn't even view it anymore. I didn't pass this part of the interview. I'd like it if I could have received feedback on my assessment, but the recruiter just said they decided to go with a different candidate.
