Disappointing. I spoke to the hiring manager on the phone and it went well. I was scheduled for the stage/ in-person interview with a strict dress code- which I was sure to follow, so I bought the dark jeans and the non-slip shoes. I was told it would be a working interview. I passed that round- but left with an uneasy feeling. The next guy was a zoom- the COO. He acted like the very easy job was above my skill set, and was somehow complex- even though I’d done more difficult at the beginning of my career years and years ago. And he acted like I’d never managed a bakery with cakes (5 years) and knew nothing about cakes despite my baking and pastry associate degree. I found the entire process demeaning. I was rejected over the phone.
While the interview itself was great - all communication was done over text instead or email. It made coordination a little difficult. There was little to no response when requested to move communication to email for better tracking.

Didn’t feel like the interviewer was prepared or cared about me as a candidate. Was looking through my resume for the first time and getting things wrong about my experience. Felt like a waste of time. Felt very cold and in stark contrast to the company’s reputation.
