The interview process took place in two parts. Firstly a casual meeting over coffee to discuss the role in more detail, the expectations of the role, my experience and any questions I may have. I personally believe that a key part to succeeding in any new role has a lot to do with being open and honest right from the beginning, so both parties are clear and understand one another. I definitely felt this happened during the first part of my interview.
The second part of the interview process was a presentation (standard within the PR industry). This was held a week later, at a time of my convenience, so I did not have to use annual leave at my previous job to attend the interview. During the presentation I felt that I was listened to, my interviewer seemed interested to know more and asked various questions after the presentation. I was given a tour of the entire facility at the end of the interview, which gave me a clearer understanding of the realities of the work place.
