      Entretien pour Business Analyst

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 2 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez Target (Minneapolis, MN) en déc. 2011

      Entretien

I applied for the Business Analyst position with Target Headquarters through the Target online application system. Two months passed before I received the first contact from Target. This time frame can vary and may take longer before an email of interest is sent. Unfortunately, Target's policy is that if they are not interested in your application from the beginning you will not receive an email. Emails are only sent to those with whom they would like to pursue as applicants. The first email was a contact from a recruiter who wanted to do an initial phone interview which consisted of one behavioral interview question and some general first questions. I was immediately offered a second phone interview which was a longer interview consisting of 3 or 4 behavioral interview questions. Following this phone interview I had to complete an online assessment. The first portion was a math and verbal test. The math test was very difficult consisting of charts and related economic questions. There is no real way to prepare for this test but be sure to have a calculator ready and paper and pen. The second test was a personality questionnaire. I passed these stages and was asked to come in for a day visit to the Target Headquarters. The day consisted of tours of the headquarters and nearby Target store on Nicollet Avenue. There were two 1:1 interviews entirely consisting of behavioral interview questions. Prepare a number of examples of problems which you have solved creatively as well as experiences with problematic coworkers and bosses and how you dealt with working in these situations. I received an offer only a few days following the full day visit and accepted. My best piece of advice is to be friendly and comfortable with the Target employees while visiting the headquarters. They are always watching and trying to judge if you are a good fit for the Target atmosphere and team. Do not limit yourself but talk instead with as many current Target employees as possible! The more Target employees who had good experiences with you the better your chances of being offered a spot on the Target team! Good Luck!

      Entretien

It consisted of a phone screen with HR followed by 30-minute virtual interviews with three others. Overall, the process was pretty smooth. I was surprised there was no in-person portion.
