Overall the interview process was pretty mediocre. The HR girls were so great and always answered questions but the whole process took over 6months. The assignment given was easy enough, and they told me they wanted to bring me in for an in person, just weren’t sure when that would happen. I patiently waited, then the day finally came. I went in and met with two different managers. The first (a male) was pretty full of himself. He kept talking about his background, his accomplishments, how he got his manager title, etc. He asked me all of 4 questions and would continue to interrupt me with how great he is every time I spoke. He cared little about getting to know me or why I would be a good fit. He also repeatedly mentioned the hours you have to put in to be successful and if you don’t you WILL get fired. The second manager was a lot better and actually seemed like she cared about why I was interested in this role. No complaints on her! About a week later I was called with the very low offer of 45k which is standard for this role. That pay would be fine if you were given a good work/life balance but for 60-70 hours you’re basically making minimum wage. I counter offered, but they wouldn’t budge. In all, I highly recommend taking a peak at the reviews for Tempus. They have such potential and have the investors to make this a great place. I don’t understand why they don’t want to provide a fair wage.
There were three rounds of interviews. First, over the phone with a recruiter, the second interview with team supervisor, then the third was a 2 hour long interview with team members
Pretty average/ straightforward. people were nice, the questions were pretty standard, and it all was relatively fast. Overall a pretty average interview, behavioral questions, questions related to the job posting.

The process ran smoothly at first--they communicated with me in a timely manner. I had an initial screening, completed an assessment, interviewed with the hiring manager, and then did a final round interview all within a couple of weeks. However, after my final round interview, they kept telling me I would hear back by the end of the week for three or four weeks. After the third time of being told I would hear that week, I decided to accept another offer before even hearing their final decision. It just came off as disorganized and unprofessional. While waiting to hear back, I also found awful reviews on Glassdoor about how employees are treated at Tempus which left a bad taste in my mouth.
