      UPDATE: I completed the job interview, was offered a position and during the background check I found out the company has a $5000 max debt ratio they can allow for this position. If you have student loan debt, unpaid cell phone bills or anything that could exceed the $5K debt limit, be aware if they offer you a position they will not be able to proceed. My review of the interview process remains the same, but I wanted to make sure others looking at this position will be aware. Secondly, this position will require a degree (associates, bachelors, etc.) to proceed forward. My employment offer was taken back due to the "misrepresentation"of my degree on my resume. I do not fault the company for this misrepsentation, as I am responsible for how this information is presented to others. I failed to convey I have worked 30 plus credit HOURs toward the degree but did not finish. Do not make the same mistake I made. From the start this interview process was well coordinated and professional. Given my background I never really considered being an auto claims adjuster, but when the recruiter reached out to me to that was one of the first questions I asked him. Why me? What skills do you see in my background that would be a good fit for your organization? Here are a few skills if you are reading this and wondering the same thing. Auto Claims Adjusters Transferrable Skills 1) Customer Service-Working Medical Customer Service, and healthcare benefits I help people daily answer questions and deliver expertise on the process, policy values, death benefits and policy changes. After completing the interview, I can tell you this one of the MOST IMPORTANT SKILLS YOU CAN BRING TO THE ORGANIZATION. 2) Minimal Supervision- You must be able to work independently and require very little guidance and oversight from supervisory or management staff. 3) Investigation/Reporting Skills-I enjoy the investigation portion of the job, so this was an excellent fit with my background and future career choice. 4) Detailed Oriented- Details were a large part of the interview process. My two interviewers have been with the company for many years and were able to give me a good sense of the career I decided to pursue. Interviewers made it clear this job will take a minimum of 2 years to get a grasp on the process. 5) Performance-Based- If you are like me and you are researching the company trying to get a feel for how the company operates, then let me say that your performance will be measured, and during the interview, it was clear to me this metric is based on several aspects of your job performance. Overall the interview for the auto claims adjuster trainee position left me with a very positive vibe. You could tell the management were searching for a good fit to match the team dynamics present.       Met with 2 groups of interviewers. They were managers from claims departments. They asked the typical background questions and a few customer service situational questions. They ask that you have questions ready for them about the company and position. If you ask intelligent and thoughtful questions, you're in.
