I was given an overview of the job position and its expectations, then asked a series of about 10 questions. After the interview, I was told that some of my answers were vague. Be specific about how you would handle difficult situations - this will help you stand out from other applicants. (Additionally, it is advantageous to be friendly, make eye contact, and dress semi-professionally.)

Imagine you are working in the lumber department on a busy Saturday, and a customer comes forward to ask you what materials are needed to build a deck. After about 30 minutes of discussion, the customer says he is going to leave. What would you do to keep the customer's attention and try to make a sale?
Imagine you are working at the customer service desk. Inventory is due in 30 minutes, and an impatient customer comes forward with a complaint. How would you handle this situation?

One on one, asking simple job qualifications questions and seeking customer priority appreciation; if the associate is willing to stand for very long periods of time, lifting heavy product, fast paced transactions and clear, loud conversations and handling money.

Entretien
One of the hardest interviews ive ever had. It wasnt like the last home depot job interview i had a couple years ago. With this one i was asked a ton of questions and scenarios and she wrote down all my answers and scored it i think. Ughhh. And she made me meet everyone before i was even hired. I felt so much pressure to accept the offer after that. With my other HD job in 2023 i was just asked about my availability so thats what i was expecting. I wasnt prepared for like 20 questions.

Entretien
I applied online, filled out a short questionnaire, and then had an in-person interview. There was very little discussed in the interview, they just mostly asked me about my availability. It was an easy experience.
