The interview was WONDERFUL because the manager is a truly sweet lady. I adored her immediately. The person who works with her in the office has a bit of an attitude, so I had a feeling that working with her may not be very pleasant. Regardless, I was excited to work in this position because I would gain some mental health experience. All of that excitement vanished when I saw that the offer for employment was so low. In this position, you are required to work as an independent contractor (1099 instead of 1040EZ), meaning that the employer will pay no benefits, taxes or anything else. So to have all of these expenses and THEN not be paid a decent wage, I had no choice but to decline the offer.
