'Competence Based' interview; in front of a panel of interviewers. They wanted examples from my past work experience.
Even though I was working for The Wallich Clifford Community as a Relief Support Worker, I was interviewed as if I had no knowledge or experience of the job.
The interview was formal. I had met the interviewers before, but they and I had to pretend that we did not know each other.
I felt at times that they did not understand my answers. The reason for this is that I had worked in a very similar job for a long time in the past and had learned the kinds of people skills that cannot be taught only learned by experience. The interviewers had not worked in such a way and therefore could not understand what I was talking about.
