The first round was standard. Talked to the first level intervier at which time I asked questions about the company and they got to know me. During the entire process the first level intervier was short, talked to me like this was an inconvenience to her, and couldn't really give solid answers about the company. I then asked questions about the position and department which they had no idea what I was talking about and couldn't answer anything. The second step was they gave me a THREE HOUR assignment to "show off" my product management skills. This assignment was basically following directions to use the product. It felt like TherapyNotes is basically soliciting interviewees for free product reviews and suggestions as one of the questions was how can we improve the product. This gave off a really bad vibe. The product also looks like it was made in 1995 with a terrible UX and would be a nightmare to bring it up to standard/common UI/UX principals. Definitely a bad vibe from just the product. I declined to continue the interviewing process after this step. The interviewer(s) sent me an a note saying they did not appreciate that I called out their UI and UX looking like it was made by a JuCo dev team and do not recommend this based on the process or the people.

The recruiter reached out. Set expectations of the timeline.
The recruiter was knowledgeable, asked questions related to the job. They were communicative throughout the recruiting process.
The whole process lasted about a few weeks.
My interview process started with an initial screening with the recruiter, followed by a conversation with the hiring manager and a product manager from her team. While the product manager maintained a generally professional demeanor, the hiring manager came across as disengaged and condescending from the start. Throughout the interview, it appeared that she and the product manager were messaging each other on Microsoft Teams (or a similar messaging app), occasionally smirking in a way that made me feel uncomfortable (as if they were chatting about me). The experience left me with a really bad impression on them and the company.
