Met with HR and another employee and discussed the company. In all the interview lasted about 30 minutes. We didn’t spend much time talking about the details of my role there, just saying I would work with the current designer.
The interview was very professional and even academic. It seems they have very high demand for candidates but unfortunately not able to offer reasonable salaries. That is, they overestimated themselves.

Manager called me and talked to me for about half an hour. Not really any specific questions, just conversation. Did not indicate that they were struggling with office culture, which I know now was a known issue.
