You create an account. They provide a Style Guide which I printed out because you are allowed to refer to it during the exam. Then you take the exam when you feel ready. I suggest reading over the Style Guide carefully. It is very difficult even though you get 2 attempts. You must first pass 10 grammar questions with 100% and then complete 3 projects. I believe you need an 88% or better to pass each of them. This is actually a great thing because I did pass and got the job, but the job was insanely difficult. I put that I had a positive experience during the interview process, because I did. It was the job that I didn't like. As someone who passed, I am not sure how anybody makes money doing this. I spent 3 hours on it and made $3.50. A lot of the time was spent refreshing the page because there were no available jobs, downloading software to even hear the audio, editing the audio, and then completing each task. One job was already rejected so I did not make money for it. The QA wanted to use periods instead of commas so I was rejected even though I followed the Style Guide which sits right next to me.

The test was a bit tedious but it was made easier by the study guide. The most difficult part was the actual transcription, which was very difficult to hear properly.
