I engaged in multiple interviews for a position I was extremely qualified for. In the end, I never heard back so had to follow up to find out I did not get the job. Committing hours of my time to the process, it would be common courtesy to confirm one way or another.

Waited over a month after the first in person interview to call me back for the video conference. Told me I would know within a week and never called back
