      I was invited to move to the second round of interviews via direct email from a POA intern. I shared my availability and after 3 days of radio silence, I received an automated rejection. I had to reach out to confirm it was sent intentionally. Changes happen, but I do have a negative impression of the alignment and communication at Tulip from this experience.

      The process consisted of a conversation with HR and then team leader. There is a presentation. A code challenge. There a many conversations on culture fit. Oddly, the CEO is still interviewing people, specifically for culture fit. I was not one of them. HR filled in.

      2 phone screens, a web / video interview and 2 coding assessments leading to an automated rejection noreply email after many months of contact with several members of the team. At this stage, I feel they could have at least taken the time to reply personally. I get you can't reply to all candidates directly but I don't think pasting in a template email response and sending it from a personal address is much to ask after having been through several interview stages. I've invested several hours, well over a full 24hr day, into this process and you can't send me a personal email and give me the chance to ask for feedback to improve? The automated response wasn't even polite or well crafted - it was probably 8-12 words in length and felt very cold. The interviewer I spoke with via a web conference was pretty rude, and I could tell he did not want to be there. When we were discussing a technology I had previously told him I knew little to nothing about, he informed me of something I didn't know to which I replied positively and mentioned I had never thought of using that tool in that certain way and he very rudely scoffed and acted kinda pretentious about it. I'm not sure if it was intentional or not, but it was very noticeable and extremely rude.

      Signed an NDA, so I can't be specific here. Generally I was asked to implement an extremely specific thing using Python. So specific that they could have asked me "Do you have experience with the Python module <INSERT_MODULE_NAME>?" and I would have politely replied something to the effect of "No."
