TutorZ does not conduct an "interview", per se. Tutors are independent contractors; TutorZ matches qualified tutors with available jobs or leads. However, TutorZ does not assign specific tutors to specific clients: selection is done by the client, after reviewing the information file and usually after one or more telephone conversations. TutorZ requires detailed information about education, experience, skills, etc. and also performs a thorough background check. Prospective clients review this information in order to select the appropriate tutor. However, each client interviews the tutor via telephone (and sometimes in person), before hiring; occasionally, there screening is done via a first lesson or demonstration, and compatibility with the student is also assessed.
