The company insists on receiving a cover letter in order to even look at your application and also requires a portfolio. The job description was kind of unprofessional and setting the wrong tone and expectations regarding the interview process. While they conduct themselves in a loose and not strictly business manner, they still expect you to be professional.
The interviewer completely forgot about the interview or just decided not to show up until reminded thought other channels. The call quality was terrible and I couldn't make out what they were saying.
I was rejected in the screening interview and was encouraged to apply again. I did and after wasting 45 minutes writing a good cover letter I never received anything back, not even a rejection.

Strange interview experience. The interview immediately following up the conversation with the recruiter is a final interview and within an hour, it just turns into another "Tell me about a project you worked on" and a few behavioral questions. I felt like they weren't well-prepared, asked very few questions and didn't probe, and also messed around the first 10+ minutes.
