J'ai postulé via un établissement d'enseignement supérieur ou universitaire. Le processus a pris 4 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez USAA (San Antonio, TX) en nov. 2017
Entretien
I met with USAA at a college career fair and talked to a recruiter about my experience in software development. After our discussion, I was invited for a formal interview for the next day while they were still on campus. But I was heading out of town so they arranged me a phone interview for next week with an IT manager. The interview lasted about an hour and wasn't too complicated. Mostly asked me behavioral questions and was given one logic puzzle and a design question. For the design question I was asked how I would design a mobile banking app. A couple of weeks later I received a notification that they would fly me out to their San Antonio headquarters for more interviews.
The first interview you do is with another candidate. We were required to solve a sudoku puzzle together while another couple of USAA employees observed us.
The second interview you do is also with another candidate. We were required to work together to solve a design problem while another couple of USAA employees observed us.
The third interview you do is just you and another couple of USAA employees for an hour. This interview was very similar to the initial phone interview, where I talked about my experiences and they gave me a logic puzzle and a design problem.
Although I applied for IT, they offered me a software developer position. I ended up declining it because the salary is below average for a software developer.

I applied online as soon as the job opening was posted. A month later I attended a career fair where I spoke to the staff and also attended a separate on-campus event they had in the evening.
A week later, they had an issue contacting me and I couldn't reply to them because they texted me from a number that didn't receive messages. Eventually, I was given a time and date for an on-campus interview.
There were two senior engineers. One would write down your answers and the other would ask the questions. The interview consisted of a lot of it was behavioral questions with one coding question and a few technical questions. The coding question was done on a piece of paper and they allowed you to use pseudocode.
At the end of the interview, I was told I would hear of a decision in 2-4 weeks. I also received an email that said that their goal is to notify you of a decision in 2 weeks.
When I got in touch with a recruiter 2-3 weeks later, they said that the managers had not inputted feedback. I followed up a week after the initial email and they said I should hear back by the beginning of last week (it is now 9 days past the suggested timeframe). When I inquired again 2 weeks after that email, no response.
I completely understand if I performed poorly on the interview or other candidates had an edge on me. However, I spent time and effort to land the interview and I would appreciate at least an automated rejection notice. It has been 2 months since I interviewed and over 3 months since I applied. Not saying I should get special treatment as a veteran, but for a company that pays lip service to hiring military, ghosting your veteran applicants doesn't provide a favorable impression.

Very relaxed setting. Applied before a university career fair and was requested to schedule an interview while the recruiters were on campus. Very nice, friendly people. Very relaxed interview up until the technical portion.
