Contacted by a recruiter on LinkedIn. Had a phone interview with the recruiter about how my skills and experience would be a good fit for this role. Then, had a zoom interview with the hiring manager, who is based out of the Long Island office in Uniondale. This interview lasted 1.5 hours because this man would not stop talking. He talked about the formation of the company, the entire job description, how he got started in the insurance sector, and even his children and their career paths. The entire time I'm pretty sure he knew it wasn't going to work out because I had no prior insurance experience, but he still kept talking. After two rounds of interviews, never heard back from either of them. This is unprofessional because the recruiter reached out to me and then I wasted 1.5 hours of MY time, and no one had the decency to let me know they wouldn't be moving forward. Very unprofessional and speaks to their management style.

Their willingness to share details and answer questions made the entire experience reassuring. The manager, in particular, stood out for their kindness and transparency. They didn't hold back any information about the role, instead, they laid out the responsibilities and expectations with clarity. This openness fostered a sense of trust and confidence, leaving me with a clear understanding of what the position entailed. Overall, the experience was a testament to the organization's commitment to professionalism and efficiency. It set a positive tone for what could potentially be a fruitful working relationship, built on mutual respect and understanding.
