The interview was scheduled at 9:00, I reached there at 8:30,but interview was started post 10:30 as they were waiting for other candidates to come so that their lead can give an introduction about Ugam to all the candidates together.
First round was a written round. So there were 3 business case studies and 2 SQL questions. They asked to write SQL code on paper. About case studies most company just want to see your approach , but here they were expecting some big essay type thing from everyone.

The role is actually data scientist but they don’t have more detailed job titles for the rank of senior analyst.
I didn’t know about my actual assignment / client until the last round interview. All the previous are screening types to see which open position they have fit your skills and experience.
1st round - HR manager
2nd round - AVP data deliveries
3rd round - VP data / ML automation deliveries

If you were explaining to a 10-yr old, what is modeling?
For recommendation systems, why did you choose matrix factorization approach? It’s computation heavy, so have you considered using other more simple and traditional approaches, if so what are they?

The interview process was okay. The total duration was almost one month because of holidays in Dec.
Round 1 - SQL hackerrank assessment - 6 questions - medium deifficulty
Round 2 - Technical round - asked about projects
Round 3 - Technical round - projects and asked a lot of SQL questions
Round 4 - One more SQL test - moderate to difficult
A final discussion with VP
Offer
