the interview was nothing unexpected. There were three interviews total. One with the hiring manager. One with the team. And another with the hiring manager. Afterwords, HR took over all communications.

I did a preliminary interview with the HR Director. She asked some very specific questions about how I deal with leadership. The questions weren't normal for a first interview. It made me reach out to others in the community to see why. It turns out the CEO is difficult, and the HR director was trying to see if I would be a good fit to deal with the leader. I moved on to the next round, and after meeting with the CEO, I was glad I knew what to expect and the red flags were all there. She spoke poorly of staff members during my interview. I looked into the turnover and most of the staff were new. I walked away knowing it was not for me.
