I had one phone interview, followed by 3 in-person interviews over a course of a few days. The process was quite upsetting. The first interviewer learned about my passion about the company and tried to use it to suggest a much junior role with a 3 month testing period. I was hesitant at first but was willing to continue the interview if this position can lead to a PM role. After this interview, I met an HR and discussed how the chat went and she agreed that it's rather odd considering my skill sets and previous experiences. I had one more interview with a couple of people at once, and now one of the interviewers shared with me that the junior role that I was offered wouldn't lead to the position at the end of the interview. Overall, it wasn't a pleasant experience.
