Short, they needed someone ASAP and it looked like I was the only person that answered the phone. You only get jobs if you know someone or you're recommended. Freelancers are hired by the dozen, its usually the easiest way to get your foot in the door. I was hired as a Temp for 3 months and worked there for 2 years.

Great experience. It’s a legacy station and most employees have been there more than 5 years in the job. I have applied for the position in the past. The process was super fast. I got a call back soon after to schedule an interview.

Univision is a great company to work for but they are quite strict in their interviewing and hiring process. I had four different interviews with high ranking managers and it all seem to be fine but in the final interview, it was decided that my hiring process was to be determined by HR and the president of the company. This was due to the fact that they have a "No Re-Hire" policy, and I had worked for them in the past. I am currently waiting for their response...
