The hiring process was quite extensive, involving a total of 5 interviews: 3 focused on programming skills, one with HR, and another with the group manager. The programming interviews were fair and conducted by pleasant interviewers. The interview with the manager was satisfactory. However, the HR interview was a negative experience; the interviewer seemed determined to prompt me to speak negatively about myself. She also asked about past experiences that seemed unrelated, such as my decision to study computer science over 20 years ago.
Despite having a strong feeling that they would not offer me the job, the HR person called me a week later and mentioned they were impressed, and suggested I inform them if I received another offer. However, it took another week to receive the final rejection from them.
