They reached out to me via email saying I would be a good fit for their program. I set up an interview with the university recruiter I thought went great, and they seemed interested. Days later I received an email saying they weren’t going to move forward with my application process. I personally have no idea how they expect to gauge someone’s strengths and weaknesses in this position, as I didn’t even get to speak to anyone who actually ran or worked in the program, just a university recruiter….The phone call was only about 20 minutes long. Questions about my other job searches seemed strange and borderline inappropriate. Quite the slap in the face considering this is a step down from the position I currently hold. Not sure why they contacted me in the first place and wasted everyone’s time.

First round was straightforward and conversational. Good to prepare some knowledge of the industry as well as answers to common interview questions. My interviewer was also very helpful in terms of giving tips and expectations for later rounds.
