      Phone interview - asked me some competency based questions, why I'm interested in the job, firm etc. Asked me if I've used CPM software and how, how I manage difficult clients including overrunning on deadlines, how I manage and work with KPIs. Asked competency based questions about the difference between a balance sheet and P&L, types of excel formulae such as alternatives for VLOOKUPS and macros. Felt like they grilled me lol.

      Vena Solutions is Racist – People of Color, Stay Far Away! Vena Solutions is, without a doubt, one of the most blatantly racist companies I’ve ever encountered. I hold a Master’s degree in Computer Science and had an interview where I answered every question confidently. I was told the interview went well, but I received a cold, generic rejection email with no explanation. After digging around, I quickly realized that this wasn’t a one-off – Vena Solutions has a disgusting pattern of rejecting highly qualified candidates simply because they aren’t white. The first step in the application process already raised a huge red flag. They asked for personal details like gender, ethnicity, and sexuality – details that should have no bearing on someone’s qualifications for a job. It’s clear they’re using this information to filter out candidates who don’t fit their biased, discriminatory hiring preferences. If you’re a person of color or Indigenous, don’t waste a second of your time applying here. This company does not hire people of color – period. They have no interest in diversity or equal opportunities. This is casual racism at its finest, and they’re shameless about it. They’ll string you along, act professional, and then toss you aside like you’re nothing – simply because of your skin color. Vena Solutions is perpetuating racism in the workplace, and it’s appalling. Companies like this need to be exposed for their discriminatory hiring practices. People of color: avoid this place like the plague. They don’t want you. It’s as simple as that.
